Thank you for your responses to the reviewers comments.

Whilst I feel that you have done a good job with them I still note a few issues with the manuscript I would like you to address before we can processed with publication in GMD.

Main issue:
The reader is left wondering about the role of NO2 assimilation in MRE on the levels of NO2 simulated. Contrasting the results in Figure 10 from MRE with the CTRL results would be very useful. If you don't want to add the data to the plot at least let the reader know what the implications are.

Minor points:
The following are based on my review of the manuscript as presented in the response to reviewers, page numbers and line numbers should be cross-referenced with that document.

Throughout the paper there is inconsistent treatment of subscripts. Please can you check the revised paper for them and correct accordingly before uploading the paper again.

Page 3, line 14: Change "It" to "Ozone"
Page 3, line 29: Add "However," before "Parrish" and remove the comma after "et al."
Page 4 line 29: Change "Km" to "km".
Page 5 line 27: Define "GRG".
Page 11 lines 7-11: Reword this section. It reads poorly.
Page 12 line 5: Change "to" to "in".
Page 12 line 11: Add space after "to".
Figure 6: How come there is no shading for the Mediterranean plots?
Page 14 line 28: Remove "are".
Page 16 line 4: Change "MRE" to "BI" ?
Page 16 line 31: Remove "pbbv".
