Short summary
We present an ensemble of Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 (CMIP6)-downscaled regional climate model simulations for Southeast Asia (1960–2100). We (1) evaluate model performance against multiple observational datasets and (2) apply a standardized benchmarking framework to identify high-performing models for further kilometer-scale dynamical downscaling over Southeast Asian megacities. This effort supports the development and use of reliable regional climate projections.
