Short summary
In the frame of the project "MOSAIK - Model-based city planning and application in climate change", a biometeorology module was implemented into the Parallelized Large-Eddy Simulation Model (PALM). It is comprised of methods for the estimation of three popular thermal indices for the assessment of human thermal comfort or thermal stress. Results of the new module are compared to those by the SkyHelios model as well as the version of the indices published in VDI guideline 3787, part 2.
